Shandong Builds Cultural Corridors to Lead New Trend
As a cradle for the Chinese civilization, Shandong province is striving to build four cultural corridors along the Yellow River, the Grand Canal, the Great Wall of Qi, and the Huanghai and Bohai seas and one cultural experience route along the Qingdao-Jinan high-speed railway to boost the region's economic and social development and cultural tourism in the new era.

The "four corridors and one route" plan covers 16 cities, 93 counties, 1,200 townships, 50,000 villages, and a total population of more than 70 million.
Shandong is not only constructing infrastructure in transport, the ecological environment and supporting facilities, but also setting up 10 exhibition belts in rural vitalization, transportation, cultural creation, moral integrity, cultural relics and archaeological research protection, and deepening the integration of culture and tourism to enrich visitors' sightseeing experiences.
The Jiaoji (Qingdao-Jinan) Railway Museum is a typical example of the cultural projects along the Qingdao-Jinan high-speed railway. The German-style architecture features a steam locomotive in front of the door, stairs hanging in the air and gorgeous glass windows, which have attracted numerous tourists from China and abroad.

Shandong has gotten off to a good start this year by promoting cultural self-confidence and self-improvement and speeding up the construction of a green, low-carbon and high-quality development pilot zone.
To accelerate the recovery of the tourism industry, Shandong issued thePolicies and Measures to Vigorously Boost Culture and Tourism Consumptionbefore the Spring Festival this year and introduced a package of policies that benefited enterprises and people.
Many places in Shandong have attracted a number of tourists and become popular scenic spots. The Chaoran Building by Daming Lake and Shandong Science and Technology Museum offer immersive multimedia spaces, three dimensional printing and virtual reality demonstrations of the ancient city of Taierzhuang in Zaozhuang.
